Absolutely loved everything about this place! The view was spectacular and so are the prices! This place is very well kept & clean. They have a free continental breakfast in this cute little coffee shop every morning. The owners were very informative on the area about things to do and were very pleasant to talk with. There is no WI-fi in the room itself, but can be accessed from the coffee shop & office which was fine...a little inconvenient, but everything else made up for it. Will definitely be back when we visit that area again!!!

While staying in the Moosehead Lake area, we overnighted at this motor lodge. The owner/manager was very friendly at check-in and gave us a good recommendation for an evening meal in Greenville - Flatlanders (go there - the chicken is excellent).

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to Maine. The hosts are fantastic - very pleasant, kind and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The location is great, very quiet and peaceful with lovely views overlooking the lakes and mountains around and beyond Greenville. Very good continental breakfast - loved the muffins!

"This was absolutely the best lodging we had during our stay in Maine. From the location (a road half a mile back from the main road), to the views of the mountain from your own personal balcony, to the reasonable rates, to the nice over-sized room, this lodge was the perfect blend of economy and luxury".

“We stayed for three nights ( Sept 1, 2, and 3) at the Kineo in Room 6 which is a corner room with a comfortable king sized bed. Absolutely beautiful views! We found the room to be spacious ,very clean and well appointed with a microwave and fridge. The owners George and Diane are simply the best at what they do. They are very informative about the area. They offer a pamphlet on area hiking trails and can tell you about evey trail from their own personal hiking experiences. Anything you want to know from dining to moose watching they can help you out! The great continental breakfast is served in a nice , comfortable room downstairs. Try the homeade muffins!!! We met a couple who were in the Overlook Suite and they were nice enough to let us have a peak at these gorgeous accomodations. Great luxury at a fantastic price. They do allow dogs in certain rooms which is a plus to those of us who want to travel with our pets. We did not take our dogs on this occasion but several responsible pet owners had dogs there and we did not hear a peep!! Check out the gift shop. Lots of nice goodies there!! Thanks so much George and Diane and Family!!!"

The view is essentially the same from all rooms. We stayed in room 12 on the top/second floor on the end, and we got a little more view. It is *outstanding*. I could sit on the balcony/deck (outside all rooms) all day long. The continental breakfast is excellent - no hot food. Cereals, bagels, muffins, english muffins, toast, jams, butter, milk, juice, coffee, very nice. The owner(s) are very nice and love to help you out. They told us where to find the moose - and sure enough, we did. Room had a microwave and large mini fridge, and a large floor fan which was nice for circulating the mountain breezes. We got t.v. dinners at the grocery store just down the road, and had an inexpensive dinner. Very nice. They also have a cute gift shop with lots of good moose stuff.
